Frequently Asked Questions Print E-mail

1. What is the total cost?
The total cost is dependant on the distance from location to destination, whether a floor has to be replaced, whether panels have to be replaced or if any other extra work has to be carried out.

2. How long does a relocate take?
As a general rule of thumb, allow up to 4 days (dependant on weather)

3. Can owners assist in the relocation?
Short answer - no! All work is carried out by CC&A.

4. What needs to be done prior to CC&A commencing work?
Ring us! We may be able to help you save time and money. However all breakables need to be removed (ie. china, televisions, clothing, linen, food and anything of personal value). Furniture needs to be removed from any annex. We do relocation, not furniture removal !!

5. Do you require a deposit?
A deposit is required if parts or products need to be purchased prior to work commencing.

6. What is the cost of a quote?
Free! - most quotes can be done fairly accurately over the phone unless there are unusual circumstances.

7. What's the maximum size that can be relocated?
We can transport most standard sized caravans. Most cabins are under 5.5 metres wide and usually under 15.5 metres in length.
In certain relocations, a permit may be required.

8. Will damage during relocation be covered by CC&A?
Yes it will be, unless prior inspection reveals damage (ie. water damage, broken windows etc.), in which case clients will be notified.

9. If an annex is disassembled by an owner, can CC&A rebuild it?
Yes we can, but this is not recommended.

10. Will any extra costs be involved?
All costs will be revealed before the relocation is carried out except for flooring (or base of an annex). We cannot inspect underneath to see if there is any damage ie. water damage, rot, etc. We will however inform clients at the first opportunity if such damage exists.

11. Can CC&A replace damaged components?
Yes in most cases, but if an annex is old we may not be able to replace the exact colour or interior style.

12. Can you do divider walls and ensuites?
Yes, however this will be an extra cost which will be discussed during the quotation.

13. What is your preferred method of payment?
Bank transfer or cash. Cheques by prior arrangement only.

14. Do you provide insurance?
We provide cover for loading and unloading, transit insurance, fire, theft and roll-over insurance, plus your 3rd party permits and public liability. All other insurances are the clients responsibility.

15. Do you provide warranty on your relocation work?
On relocated annexes we give a 90 day warranty on leaks if the roof is not already water-logged and there is no prior water damage to the walls.

16. What if there is water damage to the roof or walls?
CC&A recommend replacing water damaged roofs and walls. If you decide to retain the originals there will be no warranty given.

17. Does the condition of tyres and drawbar affect accepting the relocate?
CC&A will check the condition of the drawbar and air in the tyres. If it is considered to be unsafe, we will recommend it be floated by truck. You may wish to replace the tyres and bearings.

18. What is classed as a completed job?
When Steve or John are satisfied all requirements have been met.
